So, as many of you know I love Halloween. But the great thing about this time of year is that things just go from good to better to best. Halloween was great, but now its all about being grateful and family and then Christmas will be here! I'll do Thanksgiving posts soon, but I just wanted to document our saying goodbye to Halloween/hello to November.
On Halloween, my Dwight pumpkin was moldy and blech so it was time for a new one. I spent a fun afternoon carving pumpkins with one of my good buddies in SL and when we were out buying our pumpkins, I couldn't resist the mini ones (why are things so cute when they're smaller than normal?!). We didn't have patterns so this random idea popped into my head for the two pumpkins:
(if it looks like a 'thumbs up' instead of 'shh' remember, I was free handing and hands are hard enough to depict on paper let alone on a pumpkin).
We enjoyed that pumpkin until today when we went to Cornbellys and said goodbye to Halloween in style:
yes, thats a machete. I was a little surprised they let people borrow these to demolish their pumpkins!
But Mike really enjoyed using it
If you couldn't tell haha
They still had some of their Halloween attractions going such as the inflatable monster below:
Haha, thanks to the light it looks as if I'm being saved from the jaws of the beast (we got a kick out of this pic)
uvula for a punching bag?
And although this wasn't a Halloween themed attraction, it was just as gross as the yucky haunted house:
I somehow agreed to walk barefoot through pumpkin guts in order to receive two tickets for a drawing for prizes. The things I'll do for a chance at getting yummy food for free (facepalm).
Un-pictured is the burlap sack slide, the jump pillows, the train ride, pumpkin basketball and volleyball with a MASSIVE and HEAVY cornball (that was highly entertaining). Needless to say, it was a great day and I'm so excited for this month of fall-ness and gratitude!
Trying to kiss while in the stocks. So close and yet so far
Although, when we got home this guy did look a little lonely:
(We won't let him know what happened to his friend haha)
BYE BYE HALLOWEEN! HAPPY NOVEMBER TO ALL!
